| RULES FOR MEMBERSHIP |

Books will be issued for reading outside the library, to the members only. |

A person who wishes to become the member of the library should apply in the prescribed form, along with the fees : |

Rs.400/- Membership Deposit per head
Rs.030/- Annual Depreciation Charge (Books)
Rs.050/- Admission Fees.
Rs.005/- Form Fee.
Rs.485/- Total for Adult.
Rs.200/- Child membership deposit.
Rs.020/- Annual Depreciation of books.
Rs.030/- Admission Fees.
Rs.005/- Form Fee.
Rs.255/- Total for child-membership. |

If a member wants to get a book issued, whose cost exceeds the membership deposit, he will have to lodge additional amount, the same will be refunded on returning the book. The price of the book will be decided by the librarian. |

Application form, duly filled in, must be submitted to the librarian or to the Deputy librarian. The I-Cards will be issued to a member in person only, after verification of his case. The member has to sign the I-Card. |

A member will be issued one I-Card and he will be entitled to get only one book at a time. The librarian reserves the right to reject a member's application without giving any reason, to issue a book. |

Membership can be acquired on any day throughout the year, but it would expire on the last day of the month of March. Then the Renewal procedure should be followed, if the member wishes so. |

No deposit will be refunded either to the new members or to the renewed members, during the current year, prior to the date of expiry of their membership. |

The deposit amount will not be refunded to the member unless he/she submits the books issued, the I-Cards and recoverable amount if any. |

If a member fails to submit the books or the price thereof to the library, he/she may be held responsible for the price, the late fee and the postage charged by the library. The librarian shall have power to forfeit his/her membership deposit and to deduct the cost of the book from the deposit amount. |

In case, a member wants to discontinue his membership during the year, he ceases to rise the library or he leaves the town permanently, he will have to get his membership cancelled by submitting the I-Card to the librarian. If this is not done and somebody else uses the I-Card to get the books issued, the member will be held responsible for the books. |

The loss of the I-Card by the member must be informed to the librarian and the duplicate I-Card must be obtained from the library on payment of Rs.10/- after filling up and assurance form. If the member finds the lost I-Card, he must submit it to the librarian. |

On passing one financial year after the expires of one's membership, and if a person ceased to be the member, and his deposit remains unclaimed for, the said amount would be credited to |

A citizen cannot claim for more than one membership on a same name. In case of such a fraudulent membership, the librarian reserved the right to cancel all the memberships and to forfeit the deposit amount. If such a member is allowed to re-apply, by the librarian, he would be able to do so only in the next year and that too after canceling his additional memberships by himself. |

The library would follow the time-schedule decided by the commissioner from time to time. |

Member of the Library will be issue a book or alternatively his Family member will be also issue a book, For this purpose the main member should Authorize his one of the family member. |

The Member should authorize his family member permanently should prescribe a form, and authorize family member will be issue additional card by paying Rs. 10/- only. |

Either main member or only authorize one family member will be issued a one book at the time. |
