| RULES REGARDING ENTRANCE |

No member can retain the magazine/news paper he/she has been reading for longer. He will have to return to another reader if asked by the library staff. |

The librarian, or Assistant Librarian in the earlier's absence can detain or forbid the entry of anybody without giving any reason, in peculiar circumstances. He may prevent him from using the library or its facilities. |

The entry and the membership privileges of a member would be banned, if he/she breaks the rules of the library. |

The member will have to apply in a prescribed form to get his deposit back, prior to the date of expiry, along with the deposit receipt and the membership tickets. |

If the member does not claim for his deposit, within a year after the date of issue of his last book, the deposit amount would automatically be forfeited. |

No amount of deposit would be refunded to the member until he submit the original receipt duly signed overleaf by himself. |

No amount of deposit would be refunded in case of loss of the receipt, but on applying him with satisfactory details, the library would refund the deposit amount after verifying the case. In that case Rs.5/- would be deducted from the deposit amount towards donation to the library. |

The amount of deposit would be refunded to the heirs of the member, in case of demise of the member or any such valid ground after verifying the case details. |

The employees/officers of the Surat Municipal Corporation will be offered the library membership without charging any deposit amount from them. They will have fill in the prescribed form for membership. They will be issued the books for reading on payment of depreciation charge and the amount for his ticket. |

Magazines, journals and newspapers kept in the reading hall, should be placed at their proper place, after reading them. |

Each of the fresh arrivals in the periodicals will be kept on their respective racks till the subsequent issue arrives. No current issue of the magazine will be issued outside the library. |

The list of new titles added to the library from time to time will be placed on the notice board. The readers' recommendation or suggestions are invite in a special ledger with a view to respond to the readers' participation in the process of selection of books. |
