પ્રોજેકટ યશોદા - સ્મીમેર હોસ્પિટલ ખાતે પિડીયાટ્રીક વિભાગમાં તા. ૧૧/૧ર/ર૦૦૮ ના રોજ ઇન્ડિયન એકેડેમી ઓફ પિડીયાટ્રીક સુરત બ્રાંચ અને રોટરી ઇન્ટરનેશનલ કલ્બ સુરત-સી-ફેસ ર૮૯૦૯ DIST - ૩૦૬૦ ના સહયોગથી હ્યુમન મિલ્કબેંકની સ્થાપના થયેલ છે. હ્યુમન મિલ્કબેંકમાં અત્યાર સુધી ૪૬૦પ ધાત્રીમાતાઓએ ૩,૮૩,૩૦૦ એમ.એલ જેટલા દુધનું દાન કરેલ છે. જેનો લાભ ૩૧૪૧ જેટલા નવજાત શિશુને મળેલ છે.

"પ્રોજેકટ યશોદા - હ્યુમન મિલ્કબેંક" ગુજરાતની બીજી મિલ્કબેંક છે. આપણા દેશમાં હ્યુમન મિલ્ક ડોનેશનનો પ્રથમ કેમ્પ સ્મીમેર અને SPA દ્વારા તા. ૦૯/૦૮/ર૦૦૯ ના રોજ આયોજીત કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. આપણી આ પ્રથમ સિઘ્ધિઓનો ઉલ્લેખ લીમ્કા બુક ઓફ રેકોફર્ડમાં થયેલ છે. અત્યાર સુધી આ પ્રકારે કુલ ૧૮ કેમ્પનું આયોજન થયેલ છે.

આપણી મિલ્કબેંકની સિઘ્ધિી ઇન્ટરનેશનલ સ્તરે ખ્યાતી પામેલ છે. ડો.અબેડ આલ્બીનો (સીની.પિડીયાટ્રીશન નોમીની ફોર ધ નોબલ પ્રાઇઝ ઇન ર૦૧ર - આર્જેંટીના ) દ્વારા તા. ૦૧/૦ર/ર૦૧૭ ના રોજ મિલ્કબેંક ની મુલાકાત લેવાયેલ છે.

Aim & Objectives

• 24 has round the clock Service.
• Create awareness about eye donation among public for noble cause.
• Augment quality & quantity of corneas collected by Suit lamp, Specular Microscopy.
• Provide eye tissues for research & training.
• To Procure, Process & distribute corneal tissues of highest quality for transplantation.
• Preservation in storage media.

The Department of Physiotherapy has to provide following exercises to the patients:

• Neuro development Rehabilitation for cerebral palsy children.
• Muscle strengthening exercise.
• Heating moalities for pain relief.
• Electrical stimulation for Nerve injuries.
• Progressive gait traning with different types of walking aids.
• Walking exercise on Treadmill for cardiopulmonary Rehabilitations.
• Removal of lung secretions in patients with pulmonary dysfunction.
• Physical Rehabilitations of patients with CNS dysfunction eg. Stroke
• Post traumatic Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
• Non-traumatic Orthopaedic rehabilitation.
• Muscle charting.

• After ICTC report patient come to our center & registered for ART from government programme.
• After registration we are doing counseling of that patients for starting ART, about HIV and about necessary reports like CD4 and baseline investigations.
• All that reports are free for HIV +ve patients at our center and institute.
• We are providing 1st line and 2nd line ART and OI drugs (if needed) to HIV+ve patients at free of cost every month for life time.
• We are also providing travelling charges for coming to ART center according to their visits at center under Jatan Scheme.
• If our patients get admitted in our institute for any other medical condition, then all charges for their treatment is nill.
• We are also providing fees for their children and extra medical help by NSP & GSNP+.
• If patients get missed date or lost to follow up, we are going to do visits at their home by our ORWs under Vihaan Programme.
• We are also providing treatment for tuberculosis for HIV - TB patients. Now a  days, we are also started IPT (Isoniazid Prophylaxix Treatment) for all 4S - ve but HIV + ve patients for prevention of TB at free cost.

• SMIMER ART Center awarded as BEST ARTC in Gujarat among 30 ARTC in gujarat by GSACS at Rajkot for viral load suppression, DSDM implementation and improvement in score card.
• SMIMER ART Center also awarded for BEST supporting centre in STD care BY SMC in Presence of Dr. Ashish NaikSir.
