Swachh Surat - Reels Competition
Objective
To engage digital influencers and content creators in promoting cleanliness, waste segregation, and sustainable practices of processing in Surat city through creative reels.
The competition aims to amplify the message of Swachh Bharat Mission and citizen participation by leveraging the reach and influence of social media creators.
Eligibility Criteria
- The competition is open only to social media influencers / content creators.
- Profile must be public and active.
- Content must be original.
- Special consideration for influencers attended Swachhta prahari workshop at Science Centre Surat date 07/03/2026.
Competition Themes
Participants can create reels on any one of the following themes:
- Waste Segregation at Source encouraging segregation of waste at least wet and dry waste (My waste my responsibility)
- Reduce – Reuse – Recycle- Refuse- Repair (RRR / 5R Centres) promoting donation and reuse culture.
- Say No to Single Use Plastic promoting eco-friendly alternatives.
- Citizen Participation in Cleanliness role of citizens in keeping the city clean.
- Clean Public Spaces My Responsibility (No spitting - No littering) Citizen must have to use Bins for waste disposal
- Innovative Waste Management Practices in Surat.
Reel Specifications
- Duration: 30-60 seconds
- Format: Vertical (9:16)
- Resolution: Minimum Full HD (1080p)
- Languages allowed: Gujarati / Hindi / English
- Reel must be original and newly created for this competition
Mandatory Posting Requirements
Influencers must:
- Upload reel on Social Media. The reels can be uploaded between 7th March, 2026 and 15th April, 2026.
- Tag @mysuratmysmc and @swachhsurat

Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated on the following parameters:
- Creativity & storytelling - 25%
- Relevance to Swachhta theme - 25%
- Influencer reach & engagement - 25%
- Impact of message - 15%
- Video quality - 10%

Reward
- All awardees will receive a trophy and certificate in recognition of their contribution.
- Selected reels will be featured on the official social media platforms of Surat Municipal Corporation.
- Selected winning influencers may be recognized as “Swachhta Digital Ambassadors - Surat.”
- Winners will be invited to Gala dinner with high-ranking officials and Political dignitaries of Surat Municipal Corporation.
*Winners may also get an opportunity to receive a special award in the future.
Rights Of Surat Municipal Corporation
Surat Municipal Corporation reserves the right to:
- Share or repost submitted reels on official social media platforms.
- Use the reels for awareness campaigns and IEC activities under Swachh Bharat Mission.
- Provide due credit to creators when used for promotional purposes.
Disqualification
Entries will be rejected if:
- Reel contains objectionable or misleading content.
- Reel promotes political or commercial advertising.
- Reel is copied or plagiarized.
- Mandatory tags and hashtags are not used.
